TRAIN is a post-doctoral research program initiated by Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) to provide training in translational research to candidates with PhD degree in biological sciences.
About the program:
- Selected candidates will be involved in large infectious disease research programs/projects involving human cohorts/clinical trials and are expected to work at the interface of biology and clinical research.
- Candidates will be jointly mentored by biologists and clinical researchers during the course of their fellowship.

- Epidemiology
- Immunology
- Pathogenesis
- Drug and vaccine development
- Diagnostics for viral and bacterial diseases
Qualifications:
- Applicant must hold PhD in Biological Sciences with at least one research article in a peer-reviewed journal indexed in PUBMED as first author.
- Applicants who have submitted their thesis and are waiting for the award of the degree may also apply (they must have an accepted first-author publication at the time of submission of their application).
- Applicant must not exceed 30 years of age.
Fellowship value: Rs. 60,000/- per month in the first two years (consolidated) with performance-based revision in emoluments after second year.
Duration: 3 years; may be extended by two more years
