Two Postdoc Positions: Nanomaterial Science at the Center for Nanotechnology and Nanotoxicology (HCNN), USA

Position 1: Postdoc Fellow in the area of Environmental health and safety (EHS) implications of engineered nanomaterials.

Overview: A postdoc fellowship is available at the Center for Nanotechnology and Nanotoxicology (HCNN), Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health.

Requirements:

1.       Research experience in the field of environmental health and safety of engineered nanomaterials and toxicology/biology is considered a must.

2.       PhD or equivalent degree in biology, toxicology, environmental health, or a closely related discipline

  1. Strong skills in cell culture techniques and basic toxicological cellular assays (MTT, LDH, etc.)
  2. Previous experience with animal inhalation tox. studies is a plus

Position 2: Postdoctoral Fellow in the area of Nanomaterial Science

Overview: A postdoctoral fellowship is available in the Center for Nanotechnology and Nanotoxicology (HCNN) at the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, Boston MA.

Requirements:

1.       The candidate will be in charge of synthesizing nanomaterials including metal oxides and emerging 2D graphene-based ENMs & characterizing them using state-of-the-art analytical techniques.

2.       Experience with state-of-the-art methods, such as S/TEM, XRD, XPS, BET, FTIR, Raman, etc., is a must.

3.       PhD or equivalent degree in materials science and engineering, chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related discipline

4.       Strong analytical skills in materials synthesis, characterization, and colloidal science

  1. Experimental skills in materials synthesis (i.e. hydrothermal, sol-gel, electrospray, flame spray pyrolysis etc.)
  2. Hands-on experience in materials characterization techniques (TEM, SEM, XPS, IR, Raman, XRD, etc.)

Note: The candidate should have authorization to work in the United States (citizen, green card, or valid visa/OPT)
