Requirements:

  • Applicants are expected to have an above-average university degree qualifying for a doctorate in one of the subjects involved or in a related subject.
  • Those interested in doing a doctorate with a master’s degree from a university of applied sciences are encouraged to apply.

Applications are to be submitted in electronic form (as a single PDF document ) to the spokesperson for the doctoral program, Prof. Dr. Thomas Alkemeyer and Prof. Dr. Martin Butler, to be sent to gestaltenderzukunft@uni-oldenburg.de and applications should include the following:

  • A cover letter including a statement on own professional location (max. One page in total);
  • an abstract of about 1000 characters of the planned doctoral project, which also makes clear the connection to the subject and questions of the doctoral college;
  • a sketch of the doctoral project (excluding bibliography, which should not be longer than two pages)
  • a résumé;
  • Testimonies;
  • a letter of recommendation from a university professor
