JRF position in Physics (synthesis and characterization of ferroelectric materials) at JNU, India (2015)

Advertisement for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) at SPECIAL CENTRE FOR NANOSCIENCE (SCNS), JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY (JNU), NEW DELHI-110067: Applications are invited for the post of JRF on contractual basis under IUAC sponsored research project “Nanostructure- Dielectric Properties relationship in Lead free Relaxor Ferroelectrics Using Transmission Electron Microscopy”.

The ion irradiation experiments will be performed at IUAC while sample preparation and microstructure characterization will be done at Jawaharlal Nehru University.

The position is purely temporary, co-terminus with the project and will be bound by the norms of IUAC, New Delhi. To TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

1. Essential qualification: M.Sc. in Physics with minimum of 60% marks (55% in case of SC/ST candidates).

2. Desired qualification: Experience in synthesis and characterization of ferroelectric materials.

3. Fellowship: Rs 16000/- fixed P.M. (NET qualified candidates). Rs 14000/- fixed P.M. for candidate without NET qualification.

4. Duration: The initial position of the JRF is for one year and it will be extended year wise for another 2 years depending on the performance of the recruit.
