PhD position in Processes and Manufacturing and Healthcare Technologies UK

Interested in conducting cutting-edge research in the area of Processes and Manufacturing join us. As part of Marie Sklodowska-Curie Research Fellowship Programme for Doctoral degrees, we are inviting applications for Fellows with Industrial Research Enhancement (FIRE), which are fully-funded, 4-year PhD Fellowships starting in September 2015.

With leading academic research groups in many relevant areas, and state-of-the-art facilities, we carry out research thatcrosses traditional boundaries between chemical sciences and engineering. All our research projects are multidisciplinary in nature, to deliver new and sustainable chemical technologies for the future.

Research topics will be chosen from the broad range of themes that the Centre covers and will be supported by industrial or international partners.

Main Theme:

Processes and Manufacturing: reaction engineering, sustainable integrated processes, process intensification, flow chemistry

Healthcare Technologies:synthetic methodology for pharmaceuticals, rapid sensing in hospital environments, infection detection, diagnostic nanomedicines

Applicants may be from anywhere in the world, but must not have resided, or carried out their main activity (work or studies), in the UK for more than 12 months in the 3 years prior.
