POSTDOCTORAL SCHOLAR – SKELETAL MUSCLE GROWTH CONTROL.

A Postdoctoral scholar position in skeletal muscle growth control is available immediately to study mechanisms of skeletal and cardiac muscle hypertrophy in Dr. Gustavo Nader’s laboratory in the Department of Kinesiology, College of Health and Human Development, at The Pennsylvania State University. Specifically, the candidate will characterize a novel model of muscle hypertrophy using biochemical and molecular biology techniques.

Experimental approaches will include transcriptional and epigenetic/chromatin remodeling platforms in addition to work involving animals and cell culture. Documented expertise in these areas is necessary. Qualifications include a doctoral degree in Physiology, Biochemistry, Cell or Molecular Biology, and a proven record of scholarly achievements.
