Candidates interested and experience in the below areas are eligible to apply:

  1. Spatial biodiversity modelling, biodiversity scaling and turnover
  2. Landscape level approaches to conversation planning.
  3. Species abundance and distribution responses to climate change and the identification of microrefugia.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • PhD in Ecology, Biodiversity Science or Numerical/Mathematical Ecology, Community Ecology with a significant modelling component or relevant subject.
  • Publications in high-ranked journals that evidently reflect evidence of independent skill to perform and publish research papers.
  • Establish expertise in R and the use of Geographic Information System software.
  • Be passionate about joint research.
  • Knowledge in Botany considered added value.
  • Ability to correspond effectively with other researchers at the interface of empirical and theoretical ecology.
  • Strong proficiency in English.
