The Chair of Colloid Chemistry is offering a Ph.D. position (13-TV-L/50%) for a motivated student interested in gaining a Ph.D. in Chemistry. The position is on a temporary contract basis and is to be filled as soon as possible.The research project at the interface between chemistry, physics and materials science will include the following aspects: synthesis and characterization of nanoparticles, assembly of particles into organized superstructures, and fundamental understanding of morphologies and physico-chemical properties of nanoparticle assemblies. The candidate should have a Master degree in Chemistry or Physics with a strong background in colloid science, polymer science or material science.
Further requirements include the capability of conducting independent research, scientific writing, and good communication skills in English.
The successful candidate should show an exceptional level of motivation, and readiness to push a demanding research project forward.
