10 Postdoc: Faculty of Educational Sciences

Ten (10) postdoc researcher positions: Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Helsinki is a leading unit of research and teaching in Educational Sciences and Teacher Education in Finland.

The Faculty invites applications for ten (10) postdoc researcher positions in educational sciences

Research Area: Research will focus on educational sciences.

Requirements:

  1. Must hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field
  2. Ability to conduct independent scientific research, and possess the teaching skills required for the position.
  3. The candidate should have a proven capability to publish in scientific journals,
  4. Excellent analytical and methodological skills,
  5. Able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary scientific community.
  6. Have excellent skills in written and oral English.
  7. Has obtained his/her doctoral degree within the last five years.
  8. Applicants with their doctoral degree in the last three years will be given priority in the assessment process.

Duration: 2-3 years and the faculty may decide to appoint less than 10 persons.

Fellowship: Will be based on level 5 of the demands level chart or teaching and research personnel in the salary system of Finnish universities. The salary is in the range of EUR 3,100-3,800 per month..

  1. CV (according to the guidelines of the Finnish Advisory Board on Research Integrity
  2. List of publications
  3. Certificate of the doctoral degree
  4. Research plan for the intended postdoc research activities, including
    1. brief description of previous research experience
    2. a proposal for the research project that the applicant wants to conduct at the Faculty of Educational Sciences
    3. a brief description of the plans for scientific cooperation with the staff of the University of Helsinki.
