The Law & Anthropology Department at Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology invites applications for 3 Postdoctoral research positions. This Institute is a foremost centre for research in social anthropology.
Requirements:
- Applicant must hold excellent PhD (or other doctoral degree) in law, social / cultural anthropology, or other relevant discipline in the human sciences;
- Applicant must provide clear evidence of familiarity with the topic addressed in the research proposal;
- Applicant must have an interest in empirical field research (relevant legal practice); publication record with articles in peer-reviewed journals.
- Applicant must possess excellent command of English (written and spoken) and evidence of other relevant language skills (depending on the topic and the regional focus).
Starting date: 1 October 2018; full-time contractual basis
Remuneration: as per the Germany’s Collective Wage Agreement for the Civil Service (TVöD)
Duration: 3 years; maybe extended
Location: Halle/Saale (Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany).
