Uppsala University invites applications for 5 doctoral student positions in sociology based at the Department of Sociology and 01 doctoral position will be appointed with an emphasis on housing and urban research to be based at the Institute for Housing and Urban research. The Department is interested in appointing candidates with excellent academic merits who can demonstrate their potential for research in any area of sociology.

Starting date: September 1, 2017

Economic conditions:

• Successful candidates will be awarded employment as doctoral candidates
• Salary will be paid according with the guidelines of Uppsala University.

Duration: 4 years

Requirements:

• Applicant must hold degree at an advanced level, or demonstrate some equivalent and equal form of knowledge.
• Applicant must have at least 90 credits in sociology or equivalent in order to be considered (or equivalent and equal knowledge).
• Applicant must be deemed to have the capacity to finish the program.
