Birmingham Law School offer scholarships for international students on the LLB (undergraduate) programmes and scholarships for Home/EU and international students on the LLB (Graduates) programme.

Scholarships to international applicants for the following LLB School programmes (for 2018 entry)

  • LLB
  • LLB for Graduates
  • LLB International Law and Globalization
  • LLB with Business
  • LLB with Criminology
  • LLB with French Law
  • LLB with German Law

Scholarship value: £3,000/annum

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must hold fees status of an International student and must have applied for one of the above mentioned courses and placed Birmingham as firm choice.

Selection criteria:

  • Applications will be evaluated based on academic merit.
  • Scholarships are not paid directly to the recipient but will be adjusted as fee reduction at the beginning of the programme.

Applications:

  • Applicants are required to complete the LLB scholarship application form
  • Send application to law-llb@bham.ac.uk
  • Application must include a statement (500 word), in which students must address why they should be made an award.
  • Applicant must include UCAS ID number in motivation letter.

Terms & conditions

  • To retain the Excellence Scholarship students must gain a minimum of a 2:1 (60%+) in each year of study.
  • If these grades are not achieved, the scholarship will be withdrawn for the remaining programme.
  • Students on the Law with French Law or Law with German Law programmes will receive scholarship payments in years 1, 2 and 4 considering all conditions are met.
  • Scholarships are only available for students commencing their programme in September 2017 and cannot be delayed.
