Conference Support Program: IMU-CDC 1089 views

The Conference Support Program gives partial support to a Mathematical Science based conferences organized in developing or economically disadvantaged countries. The funds are for travel and accommodation only. This program is managed by IMU-CDC

Eligibility criteria
  • The conference must be in a Mathematical Sciences field or a related one
  • The conference must address either a Regional or an International audience.
  • They should benefit mathematicians from neighboring countries as well.
  • The selection committee specifically considers only those conferences at a Research level and due to lack of funds CANNOT support schools or activities which involve professional training.
  • The conference must be based (place of work) in a developing country. Conferences conducted by developed countries inviting mathematicians from developing or economically disadvantaged countries can be accepted (exceptional cases).

Application requirements:

  • Completed application form; to be sent by the conference organizers at least five months in advance.
  • CV of the conference organizers. CV must include a selected list of publications. (not more than 3 pages)
  • Budget details.
  • Include a list of invited speakers (Name-University-Country) in the application form (specify those who have accepted the invitation).
  • Details of scientific program
  • Application form to be submitted online.

Grant details

  • Maximum amount: 3500 Euros.
  • funds are meant for travel and accommodation only
Deadlines (for completed applications)
  • February 1, 2018 (Decisions will be made by March 30, 2018)
  • April 1, 2018 (Decisions will be made by May 30, 2018)
  • June 1, 2018 (Decisions will be made by July 30, 2018)
  • August 28, 2018 (Decisions will be made by October 15, 2018)
  • October 1, 2018 (Decisions will be made by November 30, 2018)
  • November 1, 2018 (Decisions will be made by December 15, 2018)
