KAUST (King Abdillah University of Science and technology) is one of the leading graduate research university in Saudi Arabia. KAUST is inviting applications for Masters and PhD degree programme.

Application Requirements

Applicants must have

  1. a minimum TOEFL score of 79 on the IBT (Internet Based Test) or 6.0 on the IELTS (International English Language Testing System). The KAUST admissions code is 4107.
  2. In case the applicant received a degree from an accredited institution in the US, Ireland, Australia, Canada, UK, or New Zealand, a TOEFL or IELTS score is not required.
  3. GRE exam for admission IS NOT NECESSAY. However, we strongly encourage students to take the GRE general test. A high quantitative score on GRE will boost applicant’s application. Official test results should be sent directly from the ETS. The KAUST admissions code is 4139.

Applicants can apply online through the official website.

Documents required to be attached with the application are:

  1. All Transcript/ Mark sheets/ Graduation Certificate/ Academic Record from every institution previously attended. If the degree or transcript is not in Englis, a scan of the official transcript (in the native language) must be uploaded into online application along with the certified English translation.
  2. Applicants make arrangements to submit three letters of recommendation submitted on their behalf. These letters should be submitted through application directly from the referees.
  3. Curriculum Vitae (CV).

  • Full tuition support
  • Monthly living allowance of $20,000-30,000 annual, subject to qualifications and progression through degree programs.
