NIM Summer Research Program 2018
The Nanosystems Initiative Munich (NIM) is inviting master students who are seeking a PhD position in nanoscience. The programme offers compelling and demanding nanotechnology research.
Duration: 8 weeks
Starting date: July 3-August 29, 2018
Eligibility:
- Applicant must be an advanced student and must provide evidence of excellent academic records.
- Applicant must have plans to pursue a PhD in the nanosciences.
- Applicant must provide proof of successfully completed TOEFL, IELTS.
- Applicant must be willing to perform full-time research, sometimes with late night and weekend work.
- Applicant must be ready to participate in the supporting program (i.e. weekend trips, seminars).
Applications:
A complete application must include:
- Application form (excel format)
- Cover letter, 1-2 pages (pdf format): Short review of academic background; detailed and comprehensive personal statement as to why you are interested in nanotechnology and which of the offered research projects you wish to apply for.
- CV (pdf format): 1-2 Pages in table form.
- Academic transcripts (pdf format)
- GRE score, if applicable; TOEFL or IELTS Certificate (pdf) or equivalent
