DTU Bioengineering at the Technical University of Denmark invites applications for a position as PhD in Microbial Physiology & Biotechnology.
About the position:
- The position is part of the PhD Program within the Fermentation Based Biomanufacturing Initiative, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.
- This position will be placed in Department Bioengineering, section Synthetic Biology, working with the application of genetically encoded, fluorescent metabolite sensors for the evaluation of physiological states in Corynebacterium glutamicum.
- The project aims at the development of novel approaches to asses strain performances under different, industrial relevant cultivation conditions.
Qualifications
- Applicant must hold a master’s degree in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master’s degree in engineering.
- Applicant must have solid background in: Bacterial physiology and molecular biology; Protein biochemistry and fluorescence microscopy; Microbial cultivation and process modeling;
