Overview

One PhD position in bioorganic chemistry is available at the Department of Physics and Chemistry, University of Southern Denmark. Starting date of the position will be 1 September 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter.

As a PhD student, you will work on the partially ERC-funded project that aims to provide the most comprehensive and complete understanding of biomolecular recognition processes in epigenetics that play key roles in human health and disease. You will apply modern chemical biology tools in investigations of posttranslational modifications of histone proteins and you will examine how such modifications influence the complex nucleosome structure.

Core Research Areas: Organic Synthesis, Peptide Synthesis and Protein Chemistry, (biophysical studies of synthetic proteins of epigenetic importance)
