The Psychiatry department at Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) is looking for a researcher in training who will focus on scientific research into the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of 3MDR in uniforms with PTSD.
About the project:
- In this PhD project, the selected candidate, as a researcher in training, will research 3MDR and the (cost) effectiveness of this treatment compared to regular trauma treatments.
- The hypothesis is that fewer sessions are needed and more patients can benefit. This provides more effective care and also costs savings.
- The target group of the study is patients with PTSD due to trauma in the work situation.
- The selected candidate will be conducting scientific research and developing innovative treatment techniques is familiar territory.
Requirements:
- Applicant must have completed a master’s degree in clinical (neuro) psychology or cognitive neuroscience.
- Applicants with work experience in (military) mental health care or demonstrable affinity with uniformed persons, such as military personnel, veterans or the police would be preferred.
- Applicant’s analytical skills and solution-oriented and methodical work are very useful in conducting research and analyzing and translating the results. It is important and must have excellent planning and organizational skills to lead the research project.
- Applicant must have good social skills and can communicate at different levels with your internal and external contacts.
- Applicant must possess fluency in English language.
