The faculty of Natural Science, Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy at the Friedrich-Alexander-University invites applications for PhD positions. The PhD positions will be available starting from 01.01.2020.

About the positions:

• The work will include organic synthesis, spectroscopic (UV-vis, fluorescence), chromatographic (HPLC, TLC) and mass spectrometric (ESI and MALDI-TOF MS) investigation of the prodrugs and tests of their effects on cancer cell lines.
• The work will also include: (a) cancer specific aminoferrocene-based prodrugs or (b) cancer specific siRNA-based drugs.

Requirements:

• Candidate must hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent, e.g. Diplom) in Organic Chemistry or related field.
• Candidates with BSc-degree can start in the MSc programm of the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Department of Chemistry and Pharmacy.
• No previous working experience with live cells is required.
