The National Food Institute (DTU FOOD) at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is inviting applications for a PhD Scholarship in Nano-Bio Science as soon as possible.
About the project:
- The PhD project will be hosted at the DTU FOOD and conducted in a close collaboration with the National Research Centre for the Working Environment (NRCWE).
- The project will be partially funded by the EU H2020 project PATROLS and conducted to support a newly established OECD project on the topic
Qualifications:
- Applicant must hold master´s degree in Engineering, Chemistry or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master´s degree in engineering/chemistry.
- Applicant must have a background in inorganic chemistry / analytical chemistry, mineralogy or material science
- Applicant must demonstrate an excellent educational record
- Applicant must possess excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
- Applicant must be able to work independently but also in an interdisciplinary international team.
- Applicant with experience in nanoparticle characterization and ICP-MS would have advantage.
- Applicant with knowledge about in vitro, in vivo or human toxicology will be considered an added value, but is not a requirement.
Duration: 3 years
