The lab is seeking a committed personality to enforce our team for the work in a scientific project. We provide an interdisciplinary research environment and excellent technical resources for research within the Institute of Micro- and Nanotechnologies. The IMN MacroNano® offers modern and appropriately equipped laboratory space with clean rooms and an outstanding variety of process and analysis methods. We offer a unique cleanroom infrastructure (such as PVD, CVD, nanolithography and RIE etc.) and materials characterization tools (XRD, SEM, TEM, FIB etc.).
Requirements/ Qualifications
- Applications are invited from qualified individuals in the areas of materials science and engineering, physics, chemistry or micro- and nanotechnologies. A master degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field is necessary.
- Excellent command of the English language is a prerequisite.
- German language skills are not necessary, but are a plus.
Project: The position is part of a third-party DFG SPP project “tailored disorder” in which the materials preparation and the investigation of light-matter interaction in disordered media is in the focus. The successful candidate should have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Materials science and engineering
- Thin films and multilayers
- Materials simulations or Computational Materials Science
- Materials Analysis and Materials Characterization
- Synthesis of nanoalloys, nanoparticles and nanosponges,
- Investigation of plasmonic properties
- FDTD simulations
