About the Position: Selected candidates will work within the lab of Dr. Joanne Matsubara, Dept Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Faculty of Medicine UBC. This group demonstrated a unique approach for delivery of curcumin in vivo via inhalation of the curcumin aerosol.This research is proposing a new approach to image retinal Abeta by using signals emitted by curcumin fluorescence (FL).

Position: Postdoc

Salary: as per norms

Duration: 1 Year, with the possibility of extension.

Closing Date: 31 March 2020.

Educational qualifications: Interested candidates should have doctoral degree (PhD) in Molecular Biology, Biology, Medicine or relevant subject with strong writing skills to ensure high-quality scientific publications and grant applications. Candidates with Expertise in retinal imaging, molecular biological methods and protein analysis, expertise in animal models of Alzheimer’s Disease will be preferred.
