Postdoc within 2D Electronic Devices for Nano confined Ferroelectric Molecules, DTU

Description: DTU is looking for a post-doctoral who can conduct research in 2D electronic sensor for studying behavior of ferroelectric behavior of Nano confined water, and other polar molecules.

Tasks involved

  • Design and create encapsulated graphene devices using van der Waals heterostructures.
  • Approach towards closed Nano fluidics sensors with integrated “edge” sensors, and towards both molecules in solid, liquid and gas phase, as well as biomolecules.
  • Indications of low-dimensional water (Nano-ice).

 Disciplines: Computational and Biotechnology, Physics, Material Science.

Qualifications: PhD in physics or any other equivalent degree.

Requirements:

  • Experience in fabrication and nanolithography (EBL).
  • Skill with electron transport measurements.
  • Solid theoretical background within solid-state physics and materials science.
  • Must know to assemble of van der Waals hetero structures and 2D devices.
  • Knowledge of characterization techniques for graphene like Raman spectroscopy, SEM, TEM and AFM.
  • Must know to handle Molecular sensing devices and micro/nano fluidics.
  • experience in design and construction of smaller laboratory equipment(electronics
  • Cryogenic transport measurements).
  • Ability in scientific production and research potential at international level.
  • Independent problem-solving skills
  • Command over English language both writing and communication.
  • Experience in international collaborations and team-based work style.
