The School of Industrial Engineering and Management at KTH Royal Institute of Technology is offering a Postdoctoral in Materials Science.
About the position:
- The current position is within the Competence Center Hero-m 2 Innovation, a research center at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering working on hierarchical modelling and materials design.
- Specifically, the candidate will work in a materials design project on hard metals with the aim to develop a new class of Co-free cemented carbides, i.e. Co is to be replaced with an alternative binder phase since it can be harmful to health and is often produced in conflict areas.
Requirements:
- Applicant must hold doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline in materials science, engineering physics or related topics relevant to the project. (With some exceptions for special reasons such as periods of sick or parental leave, kindly indicate if such reason exists in your resume).
- Applicant must possess excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
