Postdoctoral position: NMR spectroscopy in Materials Science 1040 views

The Chemistry and Chemical Engineering department at Chalmers University of Technology is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral position in NMR spectroscopy in Material Science.

About the research and position:
  • This is a two-year postdoctoral project. The selected candidate will be an integral part of the Materials Science community at Chalmers, addressing a diverse set of research questions that relies on NMR investigations.
  • The purpose of this project is to facilitate NMR-related research within the materials science community at Chalmers.
  • The combination of NMR and materials science seldom involves routine analysis and experiments often require preliminary tests and exclusive experimental set-ups and post-processing for the specific material of interest.
  • Full-time temporary employment.
  • The position is limited to a maximum of two years (1+1).

Qualifications:

  • The candidate must demonstrate some desire to devotedly work with NMR spectroscopy and in collaborative research within materials science.
  • Applicant must have a Master’s degree in chemistry or physics, or equivalent, and a doctoral degree where NMR spectroscopy has been the central theme.
  • Applicant must have inclination towards working experimentally and also with theoretical tools from the perspective of physical chemistry.
  • Applicant must possess sound verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
