University of the West of England (UWE) offers International postgraduate students various scholarships to help them in pursuing their course. Following are the scholarships offered by UWE:

Academic excellence scholarship

Study level      PG

Scholarship value: £2,000 (The award value is automatically deducted from tuition fees)

Duration: First A.Y.

Number of awards: Unlimited

Nationalities: All classed as overseas (International) for fees purposes

Eligibility:

• Applicant must have achieved a British First Class Honours Degree or equivalent
• Applicant must hold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer (IELTS or equivalent English language is the only condition).
• Applicant must not be a sponsored student or receiving any another scholarship or award.
• Applicant must provide official transcripts at the time of application.

Country-specific scholarship

The scholarship is available to UG and PG full-time, Ist year students from the specific countries (listed below).

Scholarship value: £1,500 tuition fee discount (The award value is automatically deducted from tuition fees).

Award duration: First A.Y.

Number of awards available: Unlimited

Countries accepted: Cambodia, Ghana, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Myanmar, Philippines, Tanzania, Uganda

Eligibility:

• Applicant must have achieved the equivalent of a British 2:2 in an UG degree.
• Applicant must hold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer (IELTS or equivalent English language is the only condition)
• Applicant must be a new student to UWE Bristol with no previous UK study.
• Applicant must not be a sponsored student or in receipt of another scholarship or award.
• Applicant must provide official transcripts at the time of application

Chancellor’s Scholarship

The successful recipients of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Office or other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course. The scholarship is available for Postgraduate students.

Award values: 100% full tuition fees

Award duration: One A.Y.

Nationalities accepted: All classed as International students for fees purposes

Eligibility:

• Applicant must have achieved the equivalent of a British first in an UG degree.
• Applicant must hold an unconditional offer or a conditional offer (IELTS or equivalent English language is the only condition)
• Applicant must be a new student to UWE Bristol with no previous UK study.

Millennium Development Scholarship

Applicants will need to provide information in their application detailing how the scholarship will help them to attain the Millennium Development goals within their country. The successful candidate of this scholarship will be required to undertake an internship working within the International Office or other departments and will also be required to undertake ambassadorial activity for the University throughout the duration of the course.

Study level: Postgraduate

Award values: 100% full tuition fees

Eligibility:

• Applicant must have achieved the equivalent of a British first in an UG degree.
• Applicant must have an unconditional offer or a conditional offer (IELTS or equivalent English language is the only condition).
• Applicant must be a new student to the University with no previous UK study.
• Applicant must be classed as International for fees purposes
• Applicant must not be a sponsored student or receiving any other scholarship or award.
• Applicant must provide official transcripts at the time of application
