VLIR-UOS Training & Masters Scholarships to study in Belgium: VLIR-UOS program provides scholarships to students from 54 eligible countries in Africa, Asia and Latin-America, to follow an training or master program at a Flemish university or a university college in Belgium.

  3. Latin America: Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, , Ecuador, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Haiti, Mexico, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay

Scholarship value/Benefits:

VLIR-UOS only provides full scholarships for the total duration of the training or Master. The scholarships covers

  1. Allowance,
  2. Accommodation,
  3. Insurance,
  4. International travel and
  5. Tuition fee.

Eligibility Conditions:

You must fulfill following conditions:

  1. A national and resident of one of the 54 eligible countries (See above)
  2. Age:
    1. 40 years or less for a Master programme or
    2. 45 years or less for a training (on 1 January of the year of the start of the course).
  3. Meet the academic admission criteriaset by university or university college, concerning educational background, language proficiency, etc.
  4. For a Master program: not have been enrolled in a Master programme (or equivalent) at a Belgian university before (with or without a scholarship).

Application Procedure:

  1. Applications submitted by the candidates to VLIR-UOS directly will not be considered.
  2. To apply for a scholarship, you first need to apply for the training or Master program.
