University of Oslo and Department of Archaeology, Conservation and History invites applications for 5 Doctoral Research Fellowships. One of the fellowships is reserved for archaeology, and three are assigned for history; the one remaining has no specific earmarking.

Duration: 3 years; 12 or 6 month Completion Grant after recommendation

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must hold Master’s Degree or equivalent in archaeology, conservation, history or other pertinent discipline relevant to the research area (Degree must have been achieved by the time of application).
  • Personal suitability and motivation for the position.

Selection criteria:

  • scientific merit, research-related relevance and innovation
  • academic and personal ability to complete the project within the time frame
  • ability to complete research training
  • Good collaboration skills and an ability to join interdisciplinary academic communities.
