10 PhD positions: Chemistry and Physics of Quantum Materials 2388 views

The International Max Planck Research School for Chemistry and Physics of Quantum Materials (IMPRS-CPQM) is a joint PhD program and is seeking to recruit up to ten PhD students in 2021 to a range of inter‐institutional research projects in the broadly defined field of quantum materials.

Requirements:
  • Applicant must hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent), applications from candidates with excellent Bachelor degrees will also be considered.
  • Excellent candidates from any country are encouraged to apply.

  8. Correlation of Berry phase transport with the topological magnetic textures in Heusler compounds: From the bulk to the thin-film limit
  9. Development of a Faraday magnetometer based on piezoresistors for very high magnetic fields
  10. Discovery of new misfit compounds for twistronic applications
  11. Electrochemical catalysis and asymmetric synthesis on the surface of topological crystals
