The Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology popularly known as BIST is offering PREBIST PhD Fellowship Program.
The aim of the PREBIST program is to provide:
- Opportunities to assume responsibility
- Scientific training
- Develop leadership skills
These training and skills would help the fellows in their career progression.
The Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) is a scientific initiative of seven of Catalonia’s research centres of excellence whose objective is to increase their levels of collaboration in order to build together a joint scientific project.

Scholarship Award Details:
- Annual gross salary: 26.519, 19€ plus a single payment of 1504, 89 relocation support (Spanish tax and social security deductions apply)

Eligibility criteria:
- The applicants should provide complete applications including all necessary information and documentation
- The applicant must not have spent more than 12 months of the prior 36 months in Spain, at the time of the call deadline.
- The applicant would be required to confirm his/her compliance through a self-declaration.
- The applicant must hold a University degree (by the time of enrollment in the PhD program) that would qualify the applicant to enter one of the Ph.D. programs recognized by the BIST research centers.
- The applicant must provide evidence when they apply (e.g. scanned copy of the degree or similar).
- At the time of the call deadline the applicant must be in the first 4 years of his/her scientific post gradual career (full-time equivalent research experience).
- In case the University degree was longer ago than 4 years, the applicant will need to provide documental evidence for complying with these criteria.
- The applicant must not have been awarded yet a Ph.D. degree.
- All international applicants for whom English is not the first language must provide proof of proficiency.

Candidates with career breaks or variations in the chronological sequence of their career steps are welcome to apply.

- The eligible candidates will be reviewed by the selection panel.
