BIGSSS Visiting Research Scholar Program: Research Stays at BIGSSS for International Postdocs and Scholars. BIGSSS invites international researchers / scholars to conduct a research stay at our graduate school.
BIGSSS Visiting Research Benefits:
- Visiting scholars profit from BIGSSS’ excellent working conditions at the public University of Bremen and the private Jacobs University and its ties to a number of outstanding social science research institutes at the two universities.
- The the stay is unfunded, but office space and access to the universities’ libraries are provided.
- The duration of the research stay is flexible; most of our guests stay between two and six months (02-06).
BIGSSS Visiting Research Areas: BIGSSS’ three Thematic Fields are:
- Field A: “Global Governance and Regional Integration“
- Field B: “Welfare State, Inequality and Quality of Life“
- Field C: “Changing Lives in Changing Socio-Cultural Contexts“
Requirements for the Application: Admissions to the BIGSSS Visiting Scholar Program. Interested candidates for a BIGSSS Visiting Fellowship, should submit the following documents:
- COVER LETTER, stating your motivation for a research stay at BIGSSS, including your thematic overlap with one or more of BIGSSS’ three Thematic Fields and the preferred length of your stay.
- A list of your PUBLICATIONS
- Your updated CURRICULUM VITAE
