DTU Physics invites highly inspired and talented candidates to apply for a number of vacant PhD positions. The department has strong cross-disciplinary associations within DTU, with leading international universities and facilities, and with private companies.
Research areas offered for the PhD positions:
Atomic scale materials design
- Computational Atomic-scale materials design
- Biophysics and fluids
- Experimental surface and nanomaterials physics
- Quantum physics and information technology
- Fusion and plasma physics
- Neutrons and x-rays for materials physics
The Department is focusing on teaching and research in physics areas of fundamental interest and with clear application and innovation potentials.
Salary and duration:
- Salary: approximately 46.000 Euro including pension and travel grants
- 3 years (to obtain a PhD degree)
- no later than first half of 2018
Qualifications
- Applicant must hold a master’s degree in Physics or a similar relevant degree with an academic level equivalent to the master’s degree in engineering.
- Applicant must demonstrate flexibility, self-discipline and curiosity as well as collaboration and responsibility are basic skills at our department.
