A 3-year PhD scholarships in Organic and Medicinal Chemistry is available at the Technical University of Denmark. The project will be supervised by professor Mads H. Clausen. The successful candidate will join a young and ambitious, international research team, which is a part of the Section for Organic and Inorganic Chemistry at DTU Chemistry.
- The main responsibility of the PhD students is to design and synthesize fragments suitable for fragment-based drug discovery and to screen fragment libraries against nucleic acid targets.
- The project is collaboration with Technion in Haifa and the candidate will be expected to carry out an external research stay in Israel as part of the scholarship.
- The positions are available from October 1, 2020, or as soon as possible thereafter. In addition to this, the candidate should be highly motivated, able to work independently and should be very confident in both written and spoken English.
- The applicant should strive towards scientific excellence, be ambitious and hard working.

Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates should have a two-year master’s degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master’s degree in organic and/or medicinal chemistry.
- In addition to this, the candidate should be highly motivated, able to work independently and should be very confident in both written and spoken English. The applicant should strive towards scientific excellence, be ambitious and hard working.
