Postdoc Position at UBC: The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver campus invites online applications from eligible bright candidate for postdoctoral fellow on the use of hydrogen in internal combustion engines funded by a collaboration with Hydra Energy Corporation and the scope of work includes assessing Hydra’s business model while considering different policy scenarios. This project will commence a long-term collaboration between Hydra and Dr. Walter Mérida’s group at UBC.
Position: Postdoctoral Fellow
Title: Toward Net Zero Transportation – Hydrogen Production and Usage
The objectives for the investigate program are:
- To identify the most promising technologies for hydrogen production and usage.
- To evaluate the effect of different policy scenarios to the business models.
- To evaluate the business models of the different hydrogen production systems.
Salary: According to agreement
Duration: 1 Year, renewable for one additional year, subject to a performance.

Educational qualifications: Interested candidates should have doctoral degree in computer science, electrical and computer engineering, energy systems or any closely related discipline. Candidates also required having with sufficient English level for communication.
